Pneumatic Artificial muscles (PAMs) are used to convert pneumatic power to pulling force. They have been widely used in industrial, medical, bio robotics, spatial and other industries. In the linear actuator of this type of muscles, the inner tube expands with increasing air pressure and the total diameter of the actuatro is changed in the radial direction, so reduces muscle length in the axial direction. In this thesis by changing the size of the muscle braided shell and reinforcing one side of muscle, McKibben pneumatic artificial muscle bending is created. we have modeled the muscle by Using the geometrical parameters of bended Mckibben muscles and the theory of conservation of energy. Then for more accuracy, we have corrected the model with the effect of muscle thickness, radial expansion pressure and friction on the model. Muscles characteristic curves include pressure-dicplacement curve, pressure-bending angle curve and pressure-force curve were obtained by laboratory testing for two muscles. The results show that the modeling obtained the analytical response of the muscle, and has good accuracy compared to the experimental results
