With Mongolian domination, the foundation of social and cultural life was shaken in Khorasan. With the slaughter of many people and their displacement and their migration to other areas, social system and economical infrastructure were destabilized. Besides, enormous social changes occurred at this time that was unprecedented. After initial Mongol attacks abated, the process of reconstruction and revival of social life in Khorasan started, and it was accelerated after Ilkhanids took up the rein. In this process, influential social groups played an important role. These groups consisted of tradesmen, artisan, craftsmen, and bureaucrats. Particularly, After the Turk and Mongol tribes came to Khorasan, and after the return of tradesmen and craftsmen Who were supperted directly by Ilkhanid bureaucrats, the social life in Khoeasan was revived. This revival was accompolished by establishing new cities with particular social structure which were modeled after cities like Herat, Tus, Neishabur. The current study aims at examining the changes and dynamics of the social life during Ilkhanid period using an analytic- ducriptive approach
