Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the most common arthritis, which is described as a rheumatic chronic autoimmune B-cell inflammatory disorder, with initial symptoms of pain, swelling and stiffness, typically in multiple joints . Rheumatoid arthritis affecting approximately 1% of the population worldwide, while, in Iraq there is increasing occurrence of RA to 3.02% between patients with joint complains so, the current study included investigation the role of age, sex, RF, CRP, MIF level, MIF promoter G/C SNP at -173 in RA development. In another similar study conducted in the Islamic Republic of Iran on this disease (RA: rheumatoid arthritis) and by identifying the FOXP3 geneIt is a chronic system that affects about one percent of the world's population Have rheumatoid arthritis (1.5-2.5 times more common in women than men)It is the creation of autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis that depends on it It interacts with genetic and environmental factors. 50% of rheumatoid arthritis causes Genetically dependent they know the disease. In many cases, autoimmunity does not occur. Slanderer The fact that the accident is still an environmental factor leads to an increase in susceptibility to diseaseOne of the main causes of this disease is the presence of helper T cells, accumulation of B and T lymphocytes and cytokines. It is necessary to mentionTh17, which is active in the disease course and in the synovium Inflamed joints accumulate, leading to persistent inflammationThis study showed no association between the rs2232365 polymorphism in Promoter of the FOXP3 gene affected by rheumatoid arthritis in an Iranian population. The blood samples from a total of 90 cases subdivided to 45 sample from rheumatoid arthritis patient and 45 sample were healthy control of patients, age range between 15-75-year-old, were examined during the period between December / 2020 and April/ 2021. The arthritis patients who attending in AL-SADER Teaching Hospital, Rheumatology Unit, Najaf province, were diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis depending on the clinical and serological parameters according to 2010 ACR / EULAR criteria. This study also covered 45 apparently healthy persons (42% males and 58% females) as a control, their age ranged from 15-75(45±1.735) years old. Control individuals that suspected to have any diseases were excluded. The more susceptible age group to RA was 50-59 (38.6%) followed by 40-49 (25%), 60-69 (18.2%),20-29=30-39 (6.8%) then 70-79 (4.6%). This study also showed that significantly (P=0.001) females (36/44, 81.82%) were more susceptible to RA than males (8/44, 18.18%). Latex agglutination showed both RF and CRP, significantly, were more positive (47.73% and 40.9%) in RA than healthy control (4.55% and 6.82 %), respectively.
