gestures according to their groups and were asked to recall the corresponding. The posttests results were graded according to the number of correct words produced by children. The results of analysis showed that the third group outperformed the other two groups. It can be concluded that reproduction of gestures enhance children`s vocabulary memorization more than observing them because it acts as a motor modality. In other words, children get physically involved in their learning and enjoy doing it+reproduction of gesture group. This group was shown the pictures of the first group and the illustrative gestures of the second group and the subjects of which were asked to reproduce the gestures. The purpose of administering posttest was to determine whether children were able to produce correct English words or not. They were shown pictures or pictures-gesture group. This group was shown the pictures of the first group along with the illustrative gestures of those pictures. The third, i.e. the experimental group, was also called picture-term memorization of vocabulary items in a foreign language classroom. This study consisted of three groups of students. The first group, i.e. the control group, was also called picture group. This group was just shown the pictures of the 28 selected English words. The second group, i.e. the comparison group, was also called picture-channeled. The nonverbal communication is an important issue in foreign language classrooms. It is important to note that gesture is a part of nonverbal communication as a whole but gesture studies has become a discipline in its own right. The effective use of gestures (or other nonverbal features) by teachers in L2 classrooms may create a positive atmosphere and enhance the comprehension level of students. As a result, some researchers advocated that language teachers become aware of their gesture use in the classroom through explicit training.
