An intimate understanding of the way interactional feedback contributes to language task performance can shed more light on language acquisition process. Recent research into task-based language teaching and learning claims that manipulation of task characteristics and processing conditions can focus a learner's attention on the competing goals of accuracy, complexity, and fluency. The main purpose of the present thesis is to investigate the impact of interactional feedback on interlanguage variations in terms of accuracy, complexity, and fluency of learners' oral discourse in performing three sets of pedagogic tasks, namely, familiar vs. unfamiliar, planned vs. unplanned, and one-way vs. two-way tasks in instructed language situation. The forty participants of the study who were both male and female upper-intermediate level adult EFL learners were randomly assigned into two groups, namely 'with interactional feedback' group and 'without interactional feedback' group. Every individual of both groups was required to perform the six tasks of the study in turn. The participants of the 'with interactional feedback' group received interactional feedback while performing each one of the tasks under investigation, but the 'without interactional feedback' group was not provided with any feedback. The results of statistical analysis revealed that the participants exposed to interactional feedback while performing each one of the six tasks achieved greater accuracy and complexity, but lower fluency. Concerning the familiar vs. unfamiliar task, greatest accuracy and complexity were observed in 'with interactional feedback' group performance of the familiar task. Greatest fluency, on the other hand, was related to the participants who benefited from topic familiarity and were not interrupted by feedback moves. With regard to the planned vs. unplanned task, the oral production of the participants in the 'with interactional feedback' group with a pre-planning time was the most accurate and complex. Greatest fluency was observed in the performance condition in which the participants benefited from a pre-planning time period and were not provided with interactional feedback. In the case of the one-way vs. two-way task, the results of statistical analysis showed that greatest accuracy was related to the performance of the participants in performing the one-way task when they benefited from feedback. But greatest complexity was related to the two-way task performance which was accompanied by feedback moves. And greatest fluency was achieved by the participants who performed the one-way task and were not interrupted by feedback moves..
