Verily, animal tales are acient oral human literary activities since man's existence on earth, it is taken as a means of enjoyment and entertainment and it is also usedto instill good morals in the heart of emergening generation; there is hardly anynation in the world today without having a large number of these tales for theircitizens due to its enormous benefits. The deep gap created in this field due to the little interest from local Arabic reserachers drew the attention of the researcher in writing on this topic. This research treated degeneration in the Nigerian Society in general and the Yoruba community in particular by employing animal tales to reform the individual and society on one hand and to present the Yoruba animal tales to Arab readers on the other hand. This study highlighted the advantages of animal tales and their values in the Arab and Yoruba society, it also proffered a lasting solution to overcome the difficulties standing in the way of the development of animal tales in recent times. The method used in the study is the descriptive (analytical) comparative approach, by showing the most important elements of the tales, showing the cases of the symbols contained in it, with an explanation of the belief of the two folks about these different symbols, and itsfrequent circulation in their popular proverbs in order to find out the extent of their success in using these symbols. The research concluded that animal tales areancient form of human expression that began with human civilization since the nature and need called for it. These tales enjoyed authenticity in its form and content, and it is close to human soul, especially children. The study therefore recommended that efforts should be geared towards translating the Yoruba animal tales into Arabic to for general benefit and to showcase the wonderful culture and good habit of the Yoruba people to the whole world. It is recommended that all Arabic language teachers in institutions of knowledge and lecturers in Colleges and Universities should awake the desire of their Students to learn these tales, due to the great benefits embedded in them for the individual and society.
