Burns are one of serious injuries that can affect human being.Its effects on physical, social and economical aspects of patient's and their families' life are very significant.Prevention is very important for any accident but for burns this ishighlighted.~..The first step in confronting any disease or event is gathering data considering various aspects of it's for example person, time, place andrisk factors.In this study that is a descriptive one we review about 1085 patients hospital documents retrospectively in the Buie hospital of Isfahan, ImamMousa Kazem .Sampling method was census and all patients entered in study except thepatients who stayed for less than one day in hospital and patients who admitted for plastic and reconstructive surgeries.About 57 were male and 43 were female. the mean of age was 21.8years ,mean of total body surface area (TBSA) was 28.3 (males 24.6 and females (31.4 ) .In admitted patients, the age group of under 5 years old showed the highest percentage (23 ) and the age group of over 50 years old had the least percentage .The mean of hospital stay duration was 10.6 days. The most common cause was scalds (28 ) but under category of flame (Kerosene تgasoline-fire تgas) we reached to 59.5 totally, from all patients who were admitted 15.7 died duringthe study and the most common cause was flame.About 61 of burns occurred in homes and the remaining occurred outdoor such as work places and in industrial sites .The most common season for burn in this study was winter with 33.2 of all accidents. Regarding in formations from this study we can recognize risk factors and groups with high risk and epidemiological aspects of this accident. Due to this fact that burns are preventable we need in formations from our population because planning and education for high risk groups and high risk behaviors need these elements..
