Conventional method of moments (MoM), when applied directly to integral equations, leads to a dense matrix which often becomes computationally intractable due to the large memory requirement and high computation time necessary to invert a dense matrix. To overcome these difficulties, wavelet bases can be used, which primarily because of their local supports and vanishing moment properties, lead to a sparse matrix. This work presents a full-wave analysis of an annular ring conductor, printed on a grounded dielectric slab and exited by a plane wave. The problem is formulated in the Hankel transform domain and the spectral domain version of the method of moments is applied to convert the governing integral equation to a system of linear algebraic equations. Both cylindrical components of the ring patch current, are expanded as a twofold summation of a Fourier series in the circumferential direction and a wavelet series in the radial direction. The harmonic functions, used to expand the current in the circumferential direction, decompose the impedance matrix to a set of sub-matrices, with different azimuthal indices. In the radial direction, semi-orthogonal spline wavelets of order one and two, are used to expand and components of the patch current respectively. wo efficient schemes are presented for fast and easy calculation of the spectral-domain reaction integrals. The first idea is based on an analytic representation for frequency behavior of the asymptotic part of the reaction integrals. The second idea is a criterion to avoid calculation of negligible reactions based on the frequency variation of the impedance matrix elements. The results are compared with ones obtained from the commercial software Zeland's IE3D, and very good agreement is shown
