In recent years, the process of converting methanol to propylene has been developed as a novel way to produce high-yield propylene from methanol feed. This method originates from a series of catalytic conversion methods of methanol to olefins. Since methanol is produced through the synthesis gas (CO and H2 mixture) obtained from the reforming of natural gas and coal gasification process, the present method is largely dependent on crude oil feed and oil cuts. Given the abundance of natural gas resources in our country, in the future, it can be considered as an economical way to produce strategic propylene material. Given that only about 5 of the naphtha cracking process is propylene and does not meet the country's need, so our country needs MTP more than MTO. In the present work, inorganic binders were used to form ZSM-5 zeolites to investigate the catalytic performance and selectivity of propylene and olefin complexes in the methanol-to-propylene conversion process. Also, in order to validate and evaluate the effect of the optimal binder set, the reaction gas products were tested by gas chromatography and the overall performance of the catalysts at different temperatures and WHSVs. In order to examine more precisely the formation of catalysts used in industry that contain different metals, chromium metal based on sources reviews had a positive effect on selectivity over propylene, with different percentages inoculated on ZSM-5 zeolite base. The optimized metallic zeolite was also formed by the binder complex and the performance of this catalyst was investigated. In addition, to investigate the effect of the geometrical shape and consequently the molecular influence of the catalyst on the distribution of reaction products, the catalyst powder formed by the binder-zeolite matrix was tested by a reactor. The characteristics of the catalysts used in the present study were analyzed by XRD, SEM, FT-IR, EDX and DLS analyzes
