Abū Bakr b. Sālim (d. 992/1584), also known as Ṣāḥib ʿĪnāt or Mawlā ʿĪnāt, was a well-known Ṣūfī and scholar of Ḥaḍramawt, in South Arabia (modern Yemen). He was born on 13 Jumādā II 919/16 August 1513 in Tarīm, in the eastern part of Wādī Ḥaḍramawt, to the al-Saqqāf family of sayyid s ( sāda ), and his line of descent can be traced as follows: Abū Bakr b. Sālim b. ʿAbdallāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdallāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Saqqāf (d. 819/1416). He
