Abstract St.Bonaventure is the great philosopher and theologian in thirteenth century. He has plaied an important part in the history of christian thought. Bonaventure was a Franciscan and he has special devotion to Francis of Assisi. Bonaventure is seemingly influenced by Plato, Aristotle, Saint Augustine, Dionysius, Alexander of Hales and Neoplatonic thought in his reflections. St.Bonaventure has new and strange opinions about knowledge of God, Man and Nature. He emphasizes on knowledge of self to knowledge of God and believe to internal, external and perfectional eyes. Bonaventure’s trinitarian point of view has outshone all of his thought. He believe that creation manifest the triuine God from different aspects and different levels. Among these creatures man because he has three powers of intellect, will and memory can pictured the triuine God, Father,Son and Holy Spirit, at best. Accordingly he attain to knowledge of God with contemplation in soul. For his contemporaneus with a great thinker,Thomas Aqinas, Bonaventure was inevitable that write philosophical works, but since he has illuminative attitude and intuitive contemplations it is difficult to present a systematic theology from his thoughts; indeed his philosophy theoretically is christian and his theology is christocenteric
