parametric nature this test was applied to answer the hypotheses of the research. The application of the test confirmed variation among the interview formats regarding maxims of quantity and quality. Testing the maxims of relevance and manner showed the opposite and no variation was observed in the data regarding the two maxims. The results confirmed that, the hybridity observed in the Wolf Blitzer Show (the Situation Room) and displaying characteristics of the political and talk show genre could be the answer for larger amount of exploitations in this format. The maxims of Grice and understanding how they operate in the process of meaning negotiation between participants of interaction, could help ESL and EFL learners in getting hidden and concealed messages in speech of native speakers by helping them to understand strategies that they use in creating meaning. Interviews are organized around roles of interviewer and interviewee, and are governed by a complex network of social norms and conventions. The genre of political interview by its distinctive features of participants, subject matter, and interactional form provides a potential for different patterns of interaction between participants in talk exchange and negotiation of meaning between the participants. This format creates a locus for violation of maxims and creation of implicature. Unlike political interviews, in semi.
