هدف : این مطالعه با هدف شناسایی نقش فقدان والدین در دوران کودکی در شکل گیری سبکهای دلبستگی و اقدام به خودکشی در بزرگسالی انجام شد .روش بررسی : مطالعه مورد- شاهد و با روش نمونه گیری تصادفی در بمارستان لقمان انجام شد . تعداد نمونه ها 108 نفر در گروه شاهد و 107 .نفر گروه اصلی بودند . ابزار محلی جمع آوری داده ها مقیاس سبک دلبستگی بزرگسالان و پرسشنامه ویژگیهای جمعیت شناختی پژوهش گر ساخته بود که در مطالعات پیشین دارای اعتبار شناخته شده بود

Objective:This study was directed to investigate the effect of parental loss in childhood in types of attachments and suicideal attempts in childhood. Method and materials: The evaluation was based on a case-control study performed on 108 patients (case group) and 107 control group who admitted in Loghman hospital.The interviews were performed using a adult attachment scale and population quetionairy which has shown its validation in previous studies.Results: The results of the study indicated that 6/8 case group members and4 control group had parental loss in childhood ,but there is no significant correlation.Ambivalent attachment type is more common in case group members.Parental loss in control group has not a correlation with attachmenttypes.Conclusion:This study has shown that more than one half of members of case group had parental loss in childhood.Parental loss in childhood does not have effect on types of attachment.Key words:loss,attachment,suicide
