Objective: The purpose of this research is, study the relation between the psychological hardiness and stress syndrome in female teachers of Normal,Educable Mental Retarded and Blind schools. Materials and Method:180 female teachers from elementary normal and exceptional schools (mental retarded and blind) in Tehran selected randomly. Personal Views Survey (Kubasa, 1985) and Stress Disorder Inventory (Loack and Kaligan, 1986) for measuring psychological hardiness and stress syndrome respectably completed by females.Results:Results indicated that, there was a significant relation between psychological hardiness and stress syndrome. In other word, we can predict stress syndrome by hardiness. According to experiencing stress syndrome, there was no significant difference between teachers of normal pupils and mental retarded pupils. Also, the some finding found in blind pupil s teachers and mental retarded pupil s teachers.Conclusion: Generally, Results indicated, that the location of work (job), does not effect the experience of stress syndrome, but, hardiness can effect experience of stress syndrome in teachers.Key words:Hardiness, Stress syndrome, Blind, Educable Mental Retarded
