Abstract:The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of brand social power on the intention to repurchase sports consumers with the mediating role of viral marketing. The present research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method, which will be done in a survey. The statistical population of this study consisted of all consumers of sports goods (brands) in Tabriz, who have purchased products from all sports equipment stores (retail) in Tabriz within a month. The brands considered for foreign brands were Nike and Adidas, and for domestic brands, Majid and Daei. The size of the study population is unknown and the minimum sample size for the study will be 5 times the number of observable variables (question items), which is approximately equal to 300. Therefore, during the research, sports goods will be collected by sending them online to customers. The instruments of this research will be standard questionnaires including the social power questionnaire of Krusno et al. (2009), Rajat brand oriented questionnaire (2011) and Davis and Khazanchi (2008) viral marketing questionnaire. In the last stage, after collecting the questionnaires and eliminating their deficiencies, the results of all data will be extracted and analyzed using statistical analysis methods. Multiple regression will be used in SPSSV25 software. The results of the present study showed that the social power of the brand affects the intention to repurchase sports consumers with the mediating role of viral marketing. Also, the social power of the brand affects the intention to repurchase and viral marketing of sports consumers and also viral marketing affects the intention to repurchase sports consumers (P <0.05). As a result, marketers need to look for ways to drive viral advertising about their target brand. Therefore, due to the expansion of services and increasing the number of competitors in the market, repurchase by the customer and thus maintaining them in the long run is very important.
