Prevalence of Anatomical Anomalies in patients that were Admitted in Nephrology and Urology ward with UTI in Children Medical Center, Tehran in March 2022 to September 2022

INTRODUCTION: Congenital anomalies of the kidneys and ureters comprise a wide spectrum of disorders ranging from simple variants with no clinical significance to complex anomalies that may lead to severe complications such as recurrent UTI and refractory UTI and end-stage renal disease. We are going to evaluate structural anomaly in patients who admitted in nephrology and urology ward with UTI.METHOD: The study is a retrospective cross sectional study. The medical records of anatomical anomalies of patients who visited in clinic with history of UTI or admitted with UTI the Children Medical Center, Tehran from March to September 2022 will be collected by Medical students to be included in this research. Also, the laboratory data of those patients will be collected and included. We collect data meticulously by going through all patients’ files accessible from the year March to September 2022.RESULTS: Our study findings demonstrated that 29 months old children are more prone to have anatomical anomalies associated with urinary tract infections. Gender distribution was in such as way that females are more prone to have anatomical anomalies associated with urinary tract infections. While analyzing the data, we assessed that 7.2% patients had single kidney, 15 patients out of 70 had Bilateral hydronephrosis, 33 patients had unilateral hydronephrosis. Out of 70 patients, 20 patients had mild hydronephrosis, 16 patients had moderate hydronephrosis, while remaining 13 had severe hydronephrosis. CONCLUSION: Our study concluded the facts that females are more prone to have anatomical anomalies associated with urinary tract infections.
بیان مسئله: ناهنجاری های مادرزادی کلیه ها و حالب ها طیف گسترده ای از اختلالات را شامل می شود که از انواع ساده بدون اهمیت بالینی گرفته تا ناهنجاری های پیچیده که ممکن است منجر به عوارض شدید مانند UTI راجعه و UTI مقاوم به درمان و بیماری کلیوی در مرحله نهایی شود. ما قصد داریم به بررسی ناهنجاری ساختاری در بیماران بستری در بخش نفرولوژی و اورولوژی با عفونت ادراری بپردازیم..روش اجرا: این مطالعه یک مطالعه مقطعی گذشته نگر است. سوابق پزشکی ناهنجاری های تشریحی بیمارانی که از اسفند 1400 تا شهریور 1401 به کلینیک با سابقه عفونت ادراری و یا بستری با عفونت ادراری به مرکز پزشکی کودکان تهران مراجعه کرده اند، توسط دانشجویان پزشکی جمع آوری می شود تا در این تحقیق گنجانده شود. همچنین داده های آزمایشگاهی آن بیماران جمع آوری و درج خواهد شد. ما با بررسی پروندههای بیماران قابل دسترسی از سال مارس تا سپتامبر 2022، دادهها را با دقت جمعآوری میکنیم.نتایج: یافتههای مطالعه ما نشان داد که کودکان 29 ماهه بیشتر مستعد ابتلا به ناهنجاریهای آناتومیک مرتبط با عفونتهای دستگاه ادراری هستند. توزیع جنسیتی به گونه ای بود که زنان بیشتر مستعد ابتلا به ناهنجاری های آناتومیک مرتبط با عفونت های دستگاه ادراری هستند. در حین تجزیه و تحلیل دادهها، ما ارزیابی کردیم که 7.2٪ بیماران دارای کلیه تک، 15 بیمار از 70 بیمار هیدرونفروز دوطرفه، 33 بیمار هیدرونفروز یک طرفه داشتند. از 70 بیمار، 20 بیمار هیدرونفروز خفیف، 16 بیمار هیدرونفروز متوسط و 13 نفر بقیه هیدرونفروز شدید داشتند. نتیجه گیری: مطالعه ما به این حقایق پایان داد که زنان بیشتر مستعد ابتلا به ناهنجاری های آناتومیک مرتبط با عفونت های دستگاه ادراری هستند.
