in Ni-M plating bath, composite coatings are created which can be used as protective coatings for metals and different alloys in corrosive environment. In the present study, the nickel- tungsten(Ni-W), nickel- tungsten- polychlorotrifluoroethylene(Ni-W-PCTFE), nickel- tungsten- polytetrafluoroethylene (Ni-W-PTFE), nickel- tungsten- phosphorus (Ni-W-P), nickel- tungsten- phosphorus- polychlorotrifluoroethylene (Ni-W-P-PCTFE), nickel- tungsten- phosphorus- polytetrafluoroethylene (Ni-W-P-PTFE), nickel- molybdenum (Ni-Mo), nickel- molybdenum- polytetrafluoroethylene (Ni-Mo-PTFE), nickel- molybdenum- phosphorus-polychlorotrifluoroethylene (Ni-Mo-P-PCTFE), nickel- molybdenum- phosphorus- polytetrafluoroethylene (Ni-Mo-P-PTFE) coatings were electrodeposited from a tartrate bath in the presence of various concentrations of PCTFE and PTFE. Surface morphology and composition of the nanocomposite coating were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) measurements. Corrosion resistance of produced coatings were evaluated using open-circuit potential (OCP), Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and tafel polarization techniques in ۳.۵ wt NaCl solution. SEM and EDX results of the studies demonstrated the formation of nanocomposite. Electrochemical studies also showed that Ni-W-PCTFE, Ni-W-PTFE, Ni-Mo-PTFE, Ni-Mo-P-PCTFE and Ni-Mo-P-PTFE nanocomposites have highest corrosion resistanse respectively at ۴g/L PCTFE, ۸g/L PTFE, ۸g/L PTFE, ۲۰g/L PCTFE and ۲۰g/L PTFE, in the case of Ni-W-P coating, corrosion resistance decreased with increasing concentrations of PCTFE and PTFE ۵ Among coatings, which can be precipitated by electroplating, Ni alloys for their corrosion and erosion resistance are widely used in chemical, mechanical and electrical industry.
