In the present study, land suitability evaluation (qualitative classification) has been determined for wheat, barely, alfalfa, maiz and safflower in an area of 106 ha in Bilverdy research station, located between 46? 35 to 46 ? 40 east longitudes and 35? 8 to 35? 12 North latitude. In order to have confident information 9 profiles data were used. Ahar meteorological station climatic data and other necessary information were collected. Also for land suitability evaluation, simple limitation method, limitation method regarding number and intensity and parametric methods (Storie and square root) were used. Qualitative evaluation results show moderately suitable condition of climate for wheat, barely and maiz while the area is highly suitable for other crops. According to simple limitation method, limitation method regarding number and intensity and parametric methods (storie and square root method) results 44.8 (47.49 ha), 62 (65.72 ha), 27.4 (29.04 ha) of area are nonpotentially suitable (N2) respectively, in parametric storie and square root methods 24.1 (25.55 ha), 34.6 (36.88 ha) of area are potentially suitable (N1) respectively, and few percent of area is marginally suitable (S3). Obtained results for wheat from simple limitation method, limitation method regarding number and intensity, and parametric methods (storie and square root method) show 44.8 (47.49 ha), 62 (65.72 ha), 27.4 (29.04ha) of area with nonpotentially suitable (N2) respectively, but parametric methods (storie and square root method) show 41.3 (43.78ha), 13.9 (14.73 ha), 38 (40.2 ha) of area with marginally suitable (S3) respectively. Results of simple limitation method and limitation method regarding number and intensity, parametric methods (storie and square root method) show 32.3 (34.24 ha), 86.8 (91.86 ha), 62 (65.72 ha) of area with nonpotentially suitable (N2) respectively, and in parametric methods (storie and square root) 13.2 (14.14ha), 10.9 (11.55ha) of area are potentially suitable (N1) and few percent of area is located in marginally suitable (S3) for this crop.Simple limitation method, limitation method regarding number and intensity and parametric methods (storie and square root methods) show nonpotentially suitable for maiz in 62 (65.72), 100 (106ha), 72.9 (77.29ha) of area respectively. While 38 (40.28 ha) of area are marginally suitable (S3) with storie parametric method. With simple limitation, limitation method regarding number and intensity and parametric methods (storie and square root method), 62 (65.72ha), 81.8 (86.71ha), 68.6 (72.72 ha) of area are nonpotentially suitable (N2) respectively, and with parametric methods (storie and square root methods), 18.2 (19.29ha), 13.2 (14.14ha) of area are potentially suitable (N1) and few percent of land are marginally suitable (S3) for safflower.Obtained results from limitation and limitation method regarding number and intensity are similar while the square root methods show different results from the storie method. According to the previous research results and more accuracy confirmation of the square root method, it can be recommended for qualitative evaluation. Therefore alfalfa and safflower with marginally suitable class and 40-65 of optimal production are recommended. In this area acidity, organic carbon, salinity and sodicity alone, or with together are main limiting factors, while in safflower CEC can be added to these factors.
