#cultural assimilation and Projection clearly seems to have been a Timurid strategy in iran after the death of Timut in 1405. Political insecurity as well as aspirations encouraged an allegiance to Persian Islamic culture in order to acquire the necessary " cultural prowess" deemed essential to that ideal of rule . Baysunghuri painting appears to have been created in reaction to a new range of cuultural demands place upon the dynasty , and it served an internal purpose as emblematic of the legitimacy and capabilities of Timurid, and more specifically, shahrukhid rule. BY a Subtle and systematic manipulation of an inherited formal vocabulary, a distinctive body of imagery emerged under the prince that came to be recognizesd as "royal", as a mark of "high culture:, in short, as "Timurid".
