This manual distinguishes the vast opportunities aiding international drug treatment initiatives in war-torn countries like Afghanistan. As the world's leading producer and manufacturer of opium and cannabis, illicit drug usage among the poor and middle class continues to soar and fuel uncontrollable addiction rates. In a 2010 pilot study backed by Medecins du Monde, researchers observed the effects of a methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) program in Afghanistan, which was the inspiration for this study. Hatifie Inc.'s MMT service is the solution to this epidemic, and will pave way for the world to enjoy a revived and peaceful Afghanistan, once again. The author identified eight suitable grants (ranging from usd100,000 to usd300,000+ in awards) to support the commencement of a series of MMT programs throughout the nation. Utilizing integrated, evidence-based approaches, Hatifie Inc. will make significant strides toward a more progressive country and an improved way of life for Afghans who have involuntarily absorbed the consequences of war for far too long. With domestic and international collaboration, Hatifie Inc. will restore lives, boost a world economy, and reintroduce stability to a lost nation.
