Samīra ʿAzzām (1927-67) was a Palestinian author best known for her short stories, written in the 1950s and 1960s, although she also published Arabic translations of literary works by authors such as John Steinbeck, Sinclair Lewis, Edith Wharton, and W. Somerset Maugham, and produced numerous essays and other pieces in the course of her lifelong work in radio broadcasting and journalism.
