Khusraw Malik b. Khusraw Shāh (r. 555-82/1160-86) was the last ruler of the Ghaznavids (r. 366-582/977-1186 over what now comprises Afghanistan, Khurāsān, Baluchistan and northwestern India). He ruled for most or all of his reign at Lahore, the new and last capital of the Ghaznavids. He succeeded his father, Khusraw Shāh (r. 552?-555/1157-1160), on the latter's death, for which Ibn al-Athīr (d. 630/1233) (11:262) gives 555/1160, while Minhāj-i Sīrāj-i Jūzjānī (d. after 657-8/
