Next-generation wireless communications demand the ultra-high data rate and reliability; which requires full exploitation of the resources in wireless communications. Utilization of the advantages of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system and the polarization domain can provide a substantial improvement in the performance of the wireless communication system. The fifth generation (5G) and beyond-5G wireless communication is a furnace of attractive techniques including, but not limited to, MIMO, multi-polarization, beamforming and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). This research work focuses on the concept of multi-polarization superposition (MPS) beamforming, supporting the multi-user OFDM system aligned with 5G standards. The dominant component that affects the received signal power in utilizing the polarization domain referred as 'cross-polarization discrimination (XPD)' is thoroughly studied and analyzed. Furthermore, the 'XPD-based optimal subcarrier allocation' algorithm is given for the assignment of subcarrier between multiple users. Also, the study of the polarizations on the received signal based on the receiver's polarization angle is given. This research uses MATLAB for the design and implementation of the proposed system where analysis and comprehensive simulation results are discussed in terms of SER and SNR.
