The purpose of this study was to explore characteristics of faculty development programs (FDP) that effectively support Christian teacher education program faculties to experience perspective transformation (PT) to teach from a distinctively biblical Christian worldview at a Christian university in Tangerang, Indonesia, as the only Christian teacher education program there. The study examined the characteristics of FDP conducted in various educational settings, from K-12 to higher education, which made FDP effective and facilitated lasting change, specifically those that could be purposefully replicated. Aiming to promote the replicable aspects within FDP at the teacher education program, the study sought to support its faculties to experience PT. In order to answer the research questions, the literature review explored two domains: (1) faculty development programs (FDP), and (2) perspective transformation (PT), covering theories and reviews of 15 empirical studies for each domain. Findings from each of domain's theoretical frameworks were synthesized and then utilized to analyze the findings from the reviews of the 15 empirical studies. The eight themes that emerged from the analysis of both domains were further synthesized, yielding four final claims. The first claim underlines the importance of being engaged in critical reflection, while the second claim highlights the significance of safe environments. Next, the third claim emphasizes the importance of having leadership support within the context of a learning community. Finally, the fourth claim focuses on the characteristics of the FDP educators, who must be authentic and well-equipped. After a robust interaction with four theological claims, I recommended that first and foremost, systemic Christian teacher education programs, committed to Christ-centered education, should hire only born-again faculties. Then, the teacher education programs should commit to supporting the continuous development of the faculties by providing FDP with educators who are familiar with adult learning theories. Three practical recommendations address the FDP characteristics that are effective towards PT: It should include critical reflection; it should be conducted in safe environments; and it should utilize adult learning assumptions and principles. One practical recommendation identifies the characteristics of the FDP educators with a focus on PT in that they should be authentic and well-equipped.
