The parliamentary committee appointed by the House of Commons to examine public expenditure, administration, and policy with regard to international development aid produced an eighty-page report, based on a six-month inquiry involving fact-finding visits to the region and the collection of written and oral evidence. The report was denounced by Israel as biased and unjust. The conclusions and recommendations are reproduced below. Paragraph references after each recommendation, referring back to the body of the text for full discussion, have been omitted for space.
