متن يادداشت
The era of globalization has generated many debates as the world seems to be losing its diversity. The nationalists are unhappy about the weakening power of the nation-states, while the cultural observers and critics are worried about cultural homogenization, and consequently, the erosion of identities. Among the cultural critics are the literary theorists and writers. To them, the concern is with how cultural expression can be used as a tool of preserving cultural autonomy and identity in the face of globalization. Through the creation of works that reflect the different world cultures, including the languages of these cultures, the literary writers are helping in the preservation of cultural plurality and also are giving the marginalized cultures a chance to be heard. Ngugi wa Thiong'o is such a writer, and his contribution to this project is enclosed in his novel, Wizard of the Crow .
