The effect of Family Psychoeducation Program on Quality of Life of Schizophrenic Patient and Families in Shiraz 1388 Introduction: The quality of life in schizophrenic patients and their families is one of those indexes which are influenced. Accordingly to increase the quality of life for these people, a series of procedures is followed, one of them being family psycho education. Aims and methods: The aim of this experimental study is to determine the effects of family psycho education program on the quality of life among patients and their families in Shiraz. The means to collect data considered of 4 questionnaires:. Family demographic information questionnaires.. Patient's demographic information questionnaires. Ivanscope questionnaire for examining the quality of family life. heinrhch questionnaire to examine patient quality of life family psycho education was offered to test groups during two months, while no such training was given to control (evidence) groups. The Ivanscope questionnaires and heinrich questionnaires were filled immediately after the end of psychoeducations and 3 months later by families and patients respectively. Findings: Results showed that there has been a significant increase in the aspects of social network and intrapersonal connections and quality of life total value in the test group compared to the control group. Family results also showed that values of sub-scales of parent-child connection, communication with family and friends, exercise and quality of life total value in test group showed significant increase compared to control group. Conclusion: According to the findings of this research family psycheducation increase quality of life among the patients and also their families.
