گفت‌وگو یکی از عناصر لازم و مهم ادبیات روایی است .مثنوی‌های عطارکه آثاری روایی- تعلیمی هستند، حکایت‌های دلنشینی دارند .در این حکایت‌ها گفت‌وگو نقش مهمی دارد تا جایی که جای کردار را گرفته است .عطار در این حکایت‌ها با استفاده از شیوه‌های مختلف گفت‌وگو، از جمله مستقیم، غیرمستقیم، درونی و نمایشی به خوبی از این عنصر برای پیشبرد داستان بهره جسته است .در این آثار گفت‌وگوها از حیث تعدد صداها، چند طرفه، دو طرفه، یک طرفه و روایت راوی هستند .گفت‌وگوهای دو طرفه از حیث تعداد و از بعد تنوع طرفین بیشترین تعداد و تنوع را به خود اختصاص داده است .زبان در گفت‌صوگوی حکایت‌های مثنوی‌های عطار، حداقل یکی از شش کارکرد ارجاعی، عاطفی، ترغیبی، فرازبانی، همدلی و ادبی را به عهده دارند .سه کارکرد ارجاعی، عاطفی و ترغیبی بیشترین سهم از انواع نقش‌های زبانی را دارند .در این رساله انواع گفت‌وگو را از حیث تعدد و تنوع طرفین حکایت‌های مثنوی‌های عطار و کارکرد زبان در آن‌ها را بررسی کرده‌ایم .نتیج‍ بررسی نشان می‌دهد که عطار این مثنوی‌ها را برای تعلیمات عرفانی سروده است .روایت را راه مناسبی برای مقصود خود یافته است .بیش از هم‍ وجوه فعل، از وجه خبری استفاده کرده است و زبان او غالبا نقش ارجاعی و در مرتب‍ بعد نقش‌های عاطفی و ترغیبی دارد و به اعجاز زبان در بیان مفاهیم وقوف کافی داشته است

Dialogue is one of the necessary and important elements of narrating literature. Attar's Masnavies which are narrating-educational, have interesting anecdotes. In this anecdotes dialogue has an important roleinsofar asit takes the place of action. In these anecdotes, Attar with the use of different methods of dialogue such as direct, indirect, internal and dramatic, has skillfully used this element for the progress of the story. In these works, dialoguesconcerningthe number of voices are multilateral, bilateral, unilateral and the narration of narrator's monologue. The bilateral dialogues from point of view of number and diversity of sides, has owned the highest number and diversity. Language in Attar's anecdotes has at least one of these six performances: referential, sentimental, exhortative,metalanguage, empathy and literary. Three performances referential,sentimental and exhortativehave the most portion of language functions. In this thesis we have studied different kinds of dialogues from point of view of multiplicity and diversity of participants inanecdotes of Attar's Masnaviesand also the function of language in them. The result of the study shows that Attar has composed these Masnavies for the purpose of theosophicaldidactics. He has found '' narration '' an appropriate way to achieve his purpose.He has mostly used affirmative form of verbsand his language has primarilyreferential role, and the sentimental and exhortative functions have secondary roles and he has had enough knowledgeaboutmiracle of language todeclare concepts
