One of the characteristics of persons with hearing impaired, inability to maintain an effective and satisfactory relationships with other people in the community.This study examines the impact of story-telling on increasing social skills of children with hearing impaired.In the context of quasi-experimental design with time series, 5 children (between 7 to 9 years) withhearing impaired were selected.The research design was with pretest – posttest.In this design the first, three consecutive and repeated evaluationwere taken (the time span of a week of each other) about the social skills of children with hearing impaired. Then,the intervention (10 stories in 12 sessions 30-minute over 6 weeks) was performed.After three intervention (Within a week) social skills of children with hearing loss were assessed again. To measure social skills in childrenSocial Skills Rating Scale (Gresham & Elliott) and multivariate analysis of covariance were used to analyze the data.Findings of the present study indicated thatstory-tellingon social skills in children with hearing impaired was a significant and positive effect.Due to the effectiveness of story-telling on increasing social skills of children with hearing impaired, The power of storytelling as a way to improve these skills as a ring of rehabilitation programused for children with hearing impaired.Keywords:story-telling, social skills, hearing impaired.I
