.One of the most significant man-made is dams which their stability as well as their good performances, are considerd as the most important parameter of economic, social, and political. Stability For supplying of dams, especially embankment ones, according to structure the most heterogeneous, the most important matter is a dam behavior which is possible through using of appropriate instrumentation. Based on this the embankment dams to be aware of the correct, accurate and timely of their behavior necessary tools are installed according to the designer at critical sections analyzed position. And dam behavior is examed and controlled at different times such as during construction period, the first watering, completion, during the operation, inundates, earthquake and quick dewatering. The statistics shows that about 40 percent of the embankment disruptions dams are caused by seepage. Therefore the analysis and study of seepage using instrumentation data is considered as the most important process to monitoring of embankment dams behavior. In this research work, the water seepage from the body of the under study dam is investigated both in transient and steady state current, in a two dimensional framework, using software GeoStudio (seep/w) and finite element method and with the assumption of saturated-unsaturated current. The results have been compared with instrumentation data. Checking the piezometers of foundation represent acceptable performance of cut off and also the reduction of the piezometers pressure downstream the core (lower levels) is indicative of the impact of the drains
