با رشد و توسعه ی حمل و نقل هوایی، دو کمپانی بزرگ هواپیما سازی جهان، ایرباس و بوئینگ سعی در سود و بهره وری بیشتری دارند .به دلیل وزن و وسعت زیاد این هواپیماها، مطالعه پیرامون روسازی فرودگاه ها از اهمیت ویژه ای برخوردار شد زیرا پژوهش های ترافیکی مربوط به فرودگاه ها نشان می دهد که صدمات و خرابی ناشی از نشست و برخاست هواپیماهای پهن پیکر بر روی باند بیشتر از انواع دیگر است

Since developing air transportation, two great global aircraft manufacturing Companies, Airbus and Boeing, tried to achieve more profit and productivity through producing wide-body aircrafts. Because of high weight and width of these aircrafts, more attentions focused on airport pavement. Airport traffic studies indicates that taking off and on of these wide-body aircrafts resulted in more damage on airport band. Airfield pavements are designed and implemented in accordance with the regulations issued by the Federal Administration Aviation of US. Since 1999, the organization has developed specialized software for airport pavement design that The latest version of which is FAARFIELD 1.41. In this thesis, two types of rigid and flexible pavements have been selected for numerical studies under the influence of wide-body aircrafts. By using the latest published software, pavements are designed. Then, the numerical method of finite element is selected for modeling and analysis. The geometric specifications determined by the design software and also the results of the published tests of the American Aviation administration in relation to the layered materials, modeling in Abaqus software has been done. From the moment of landing to the full stop, four models Boeing 777, Boeing 747, Airbus A 340, Airbus A 380 were investigated and it was determined that static forces affect the pavementmore than dynamic forces and The amount of displacement in the flexible pavement is more than the rigid pavement.It was also found that the greatest amount of displacement in the rigid pavement was in the middle of the chassis of landing gears and in the flexible pavement under the main wheels. According to the results of the analyzes, the Boeing 777, due to its special arrangement of wheels, produces the greatest amount of damage in two types of pavements
