This disquisition argues, inter alia, that the prodemocracy movements in Africa are not truly wedded to their manifestos. It contends that the clamor for multi-partyism is hollow, because the performance of the multi-party systems in Africa today leaves much to be desired. It alerts the civil society and other prodemocracy organizations that the process of democratization is not an easy one; therefore, the commitment to it must be total.
