Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. Muḥammad Ibn ʿĀṣim al-Gharnāṭī (760-829/1359-1426) was a famous Mālikī jurist and the chief qāḍī (judge) of Granada during the reign of the Naṣrid king Muḥammad V al-Ghanī bi-llāh (r. 755-60/1354-9 and 763-93/1362-91). He came from a family of intellectual aristocrats, jurists, grammarians, and men of letters.
