Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad b. Mufliḥ al-Maqdisī al-Qāqūnī, known as Ibn Mufliḥ and also as al-Ramīnī and al-Ṣālihī, was a Ḥanbalī jurist, judge, and madrasa professor. He was born in the Palestinian village of Qāqūn in about 710/1310 and grew up and resided in Damascus, where he died in 763/1362. He was buried in the cemetery of the Ḥanbalī Ṣāliḥiyya neighbourhood. Reportedly, he and the better-known Ḥanbalī scholar Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya (d. 751/1350), who praised his proficiency in Ḥanbalī law, were
