Ḥājj Muḥammad Ḥasan Amīn (-i Dār) al-Ḍarb (Zarb) (1250-1316/1834-98), also known as Ḥājj Muḥammad Ḥasan Amīn al-Ḍarb, was the first major Iranian entrepreneur and Master of the Mint under Nāṣir al-Dīn Shāh Qājār (r. 1264-1313/1848-96). Born in Isfahan to a family of minor ṣarrāf s (money changers, bankers, see Floor), after the death of his father in the mid-nineteenth century, he left Isfahan for Tehran with a meagre capital.
