Ḥakīm Ajmal Khān (1863-1927) was an Indian Muslim leader and traditional physician (ḥakīm) . He was born in Delhi to an eminent family of Indian physicians said to descend from the Samarqandī Ṣūfī ʿUbayd Allāh Aḥrār (d. 1490). Until 1902 he was the personal physician of the nawāb (governor) of Rāmpūr and was in charge of his library. His earlier loyalty toward the British changed in consequence of the First World War. He was one of the founders of the All-India Muslim League in 1906, was active in the
