متن يادداشت
This is a comprehensive source of culturally relevant information for those who provide services to immigrant and minority women, useful for professional and student health care providers, social workers, counselors, and educators. Each chapter represents a separate ethnic/cultural or regional immigrant population, detailing customs, beliefs, and norms among that group regarding family and social expectations of girls and women, sexuality, divorce and child custody, contraception, pregnancy and birth, infant and child care, middle and old age, and death and dying. Highlighted notes offer tips for dealing with sensitive issues. St. Hill is an associate professor at Texas Women's University, and has taught in nursing programs in the US and the Caribbean.
