Its applications vary from the curious gardener multiplying plants in a modest home kitchen, to the renowed scientist working in an elaborate laboratory. It reaches from the orchid hobbyist who has learned to multiply a few personal favorites, to a million-dollar industry producing houseplants, ornamentals, and secondary products. # The presentbook provides an overview of plant tissue culture including its practical applications. I express my heart indebtedness to all of them for sending their suggestions for improvement of the text. No doubt further improvement of the book is also possible, as such I shall appreciate the suggestions and constructive criticism for its improvement.
