Turbulent flow occurs both in the environment and in many engineering problems. Understanding turbulent combustion and designing an active controller to reduce combustion oscillation is urgently required to save energy and to improve the environment. The work collected here gives valuable insight into how these challenges are being met by engineers who deal with gas turbines and industrial furnaces.
