چکیده (انگلیسی): Ethics is one of the most important and inseparable parts of every religious tradition. The first section of this research is a translation of eight chapters of the second part of “Schweiker, William (ed); The Companion to the Religious Ethics; Blackwell, Oxford, 2005.” into Persian. The first four chapters which are on Christian Ethics, deal with issues such as the origins of Christian Ethics (New Testament and fathers of Apostolic era and early Christianity), ethics of Peace and War and Marriage in the history of Christianity, historical trends and different schools in Christian Ethics and etc. The other four chapters are on Islamic Ethics in which some issues are investigated such as: Pre-Islamic Arab Ethics, Quranic Ethics, taking shape of different trends to ethics in early centuries of Islam, different theological approaches to ethics and the role of Quran in their origination as well as some contemporary approaches in Islamic Ethics like the approaches to human rights, woman rights and the Progressivist approaches in Islamic Ethics. As mentioned issues cover a large area of ethics of these two religious traditions, what is done here should not be expected to be meticulous enough. In the second section immediately after the translation, some investigations are done on the Origins of Christian and Islamic Ethics, Historical Stages of Christian Ethics and Different Trajectories in Islamic which can be regarded as small addition to the basic text
