هدف :رشد جمعیت سالمندان در کشورهای در حال توسعه از جمله ایران به یک موضوع پرچالش تبدیل گردیده است .یکی از نیازهای مهم سالمندان، تغذیه مناسب است .عدم تشخیص به موقع سوء تغذیه موجب محرومیت از تغذیه مناسب، بیماری و کاهش کیفیت زندگی میگردد .مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی وضعیت تغذیه و عوامل مرتبط با آن در میان سالمندان تحت پوشش سازمان تامین اجتماعی پذیرش شده در بیمارستان های مشهد انجام شده است .روش بررسی :این مطالعه توصیفی-تحلیلی مقطعی بر روی ۲۰۰ سالمند ۶۰ ساله و بالاتر( ۱۰۰ زن و ۱۰۰ مرد) تحت پوشش سازمان تامین اجتماعی پذیرش شده در دو بیمارستان ۱۷ شهریور و فارابی شهر مشهد که به صورت دسترس انتخاب شده بودند صورت گرفت .ارتباط وضعیت تغذیه با متغیر های جمعیت شناختی، تن سنجی و فردی - سلامتی بررسی شد .داده ها از طریق پرسشنامه اطلاعات عمومی و پرسشنامه MNA که روایی و پایایی آن تایید گردیده، گردآوری شدند .نسخه ۲۴ نرم افزار SPSS برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده ها انتخاب گردید .آزمون های مورد استفاده شامل آزمون تی مستقل، آزمون کای اسکویر و رگرسیون لجستیک بود .یافته ها :۲۵ سالمندان در معرض خطر سوء تغذیه و ۶ دچار سوءتغذیه بودند .وضعیت تغذیه با متغیر های گروه سنی=(P ۰۰۵.۰)، نمایه توده بدنی>(P ۰۰۱.۰)، وضعیت تحرک=(P ۰۰۱.۰)، تعداد اقلام دارویی مصرفی روزانه=(P ۰۲۲.۰)، استرس روانی /بیماری حاد در سه ماه گذشته>(P ۰۰۱.۰)، و مشکلات عصبی روانی>(P ۰۰۱.۰) ارتباط معنا داری داشت .نتیجه گیری :با توجه به اهمیت وضعیت تغذیه و تاثیر آن بر سلامتی و کیفیت زندگی سالمندان، به نظر می رسد برنامه مستمر غربالگری و ارزیابی وضعیت تغذیه سالمندان تحت پوشش سازمان تامین اجتماعی از اهمیت فوق العاده ای برخوردار می باشد و توصیه می گردد در دستور کار سازمان تامین اجتماعی قرار گیرد .کلید واژه ها :سالمند، وضعیت تغذیه ای، سوء تغذیه، ارزیابی فشرده تغذیه، بستری، تامین اجتماعی

Introduction: The growth of the elderly population in developing countries, including Iran, has become a challenging issue. One of the important needs of the elderly is appropriate nutrition. Failure to recognize malnutrition in a timely manner will result in deprivation of appropriate nutrition, illness, and decrease in quality of life. The aim of this study was to investigate the nutritional status and its related factors among the elderly covered by the social security organization addmitted in Mashhad hospitals. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study was carried out on 200 elderly 60 years and older (100 women and 100 men) covered by social security organization, addmitted in two hospitals in Mashhad, Iran. The relationship between nutrition status and demographic, anthropometric and individual-health variables was investigated. Data were collected through a general information questionnaire and MNA questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed. SPSS version 24 was selected for data analysis. The tests were independent t-test, Chi-square test, logistic regression. Results: 25 of the elderly were at risk of malnutrition and 6 were malnurished. The nutritional status had significant correlation with the variables of the age group (P = 0.005), body mass index (P <0.001), mobility status (P = 0.001), daily drug use items (P = 0.022), psychological stress / acute illness in the last three months (P <0.001), and neuropsychiatric problems (P <0.001). Conclusion: Considering the importance of nutrition status and its impact on the health and quality of life of the elderly, it seems that the continuous screening and evaluation of the nutrition status of the elderly covered by the Social Security Organization is of great importance and It is recommended to be placed on the agenda of the Social Security Organization.
