Background and purpose: Ever since the writing and exchange of information began, all people, especially the heads of state, were seeking a solution to protect the confidentiality of correspondence. Failure to control and oversee the organization's database can impose heavy damages on these organizations. Therefore, addressing the issue of information security in all domains, especially in the field of passive defense, is considered as a necessity and various aspects of it should be identified. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study. The statistical population of the study consisted of managers of different levels of educational deputy, deputy of health department and deputy of research and technology of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences and experts in information and informatics. The method of sampling this research is a randomized categorical method. According to the total volume of managers and active experts in these departments, the sample size was 170. The main tool of this study was to collect the necessary information, a questionnaire designed for The basis of the threefold dimensions of information technology has been the passive defense engineering approach. In order to analyze the data, descriptive and inferential statistics including one-sample t-test and confirmatory factor analysis were used Results: The results showed that, in general, the components of the security dimension are the most affected and then the safety dimension, and then the dimension of sustainability are the least important aspects in the explanation of information technology with the non-operational approach. Conclusion: The findings of this research in the field of safety, safety and sustainability indices in the field of health in Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences subsystems indicate that it is more important to use the methods and means of providing information security and privacy of individuals In the field of health.
