Objective:This research aimed to explore how change of educational programme could enhance the quality of delivered education to families who have physical disabled persons via a community-based rehabilitation (CBR) programme.So in this study was Compared effectiveness of new training program for local trainers in community-based rehabilitation(CBR) programme with the current program, in terms of quality of their family training to families of people with movement disabilities in lorestan province Materials & Methods:This study was a experimental and field trial. local trainers were 34 persons that 18 persons were trained with new training program and 16 persons were trained with current training program.There were 64 family care giver in each group that were chose with random sampling. In new training program was used from effective educational techniques such as roll playing, problem solving and revised of CBR package from number 8-16 .time of course was 12 hours in 2 days. In current training program was used from reading the CBR package from number 8-16 and show the exercises. time of course was 9 hours in 2 days. Data were collected at the before and after of the training to assess the knowledge, skill and attitude of the trainees. After this the educational package was given to family care giver. Before and after 2 months assess the of the family care giver. Data were analyzed by Independent T-test, Paired T-test, Mann Whitney, Wilcoxon, Chi squre and pearson correlation coefficient.Results:The results of this study in local trainers are shown, the total knowledge score in new method(44/820/3) was more significantly than the current method(15/976/7)(p<0/0001).Also the total skill score in new method(63/945/5) was more than the other group(7/811/97)(p<0/0001) but difference of attitude in 2 group wasnot significant.The results of this study in family care givers are shown, the total knowledge score in new method(72/9533/5) was more significantly than the current method(26/7523/7)(p<0/0001). Also the total skill score in new method(81/9721/98) was more than other group(31/725/3)(p<0/0001). The majority of family care givers who had higher participation and satisfaction, positive attitude and less fatigue were in new method and their difference in 2 group was significant. Social relationship situation of their disabled persons difference in 2 group wasnot significant.Conclusion:The impact of new method training for local trainers of CBR on the quality of delivered education to families who have physical disabled persons could be promoting their knowledge and skill. Also promoting knowledge, skill,154 participation, satisfaction and decrease fatigue in family care giver of new method and make positive attitudes about effectiveness of rehabilitation at home and trend to maintenance persons with disabilities at home in them.So implementation of new method for local trainers of CBR have effective results Keywords: community-based rehabilitation / Family training / local trainers / training program
