Abstract: Interleukins (ILs) ,are organs of a cytokines (are secreted proteins and act as signal molecules) that are secreted by leukocytes and some other cells in the body. Interleukins are essential to the immune system's primary functions, and defects in some of them cause autoimmune diseases.The aim of this case-control study was evaluation the polymorphism of IL-6 in kidney transplant recipients. In this study, 50 kidney recipients who became infected with cytomegalovirus and 100 non-infected individuals were blood sampled. After DNA extraction, polymorphism -174 from interleukin 6 was examined by PCR-RFLP method. The results showed the effect of CC genotype with susceptibility to cytomegalovirus.

چكيده: اینترلوکین‌ها (ILs) و سیتوکین‌ها (پروتئین‌های ترشحی و مولکول‌های سیگنالینگ هستند که توسط لکوسیت‌ها و برخی سلول‌های دیگر بدن ترشح می‌شوند. عملکرد سیستم ایمنی به اینترلوکین‌ها بستگی دارد و نقص در برخی از آنها باعث بیماری‌های خود ایمنی می‌شود.هدف از این مطالعه‌ی موردی-شاهدی بررسی پلی‌مورفیسم اینترلوکین 6 در افرادی است که پیوند کلیه شده‌اند. در این مطالعه از 50 گیرنده‌ی کلیه که به سیتومگالوویروس آلوده شده بودند و 100 فرد سالم به عنوان گروه شاهد و کنترل نمونه‌ی خون محیطی تهیه شد. پس از استخراجDNA با کیت استخراج DNA، پلی‌مورفیسم -174 ژن اینترلوکین 6 با روش PCR-RFLP بررسی شد. نتایج حاصل از آنالیز داده‌ها نشان‌دهنده‌ی تأثیر ژنوتیپ CC بر حساسیت به سیتومگالوویروس بود.
