The story of Iraq war has been so malignant and suffering that many authors tried to discuss it. In this way, the propaganda of the west which expands the Eurocentric view of thinking about the democratic transition of the Iraqi government must be considered as well. These views must be considered as the reason of monstrous situation in Iraq. This study attempts to cover the issue of post war trauma in two novels Frankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Sadaawi and Markus Zusak's The Book Thief. In this study the theories of trauma, including Zizeks interpretation of trauma besides Freud and Lacans theories of awakening, are investigated and applied to the novels within a comparative framework. In this framework, the sociality of the trauma is especially discussed and emphasized. In this study, it is attempted to give the Iraqis the voice and show their malignant situations and human costs. Moreover, the issue of death is also discussed in the story of The Book Thief and then it is also compared to the Frankenstein in Baghdad. To do so, this research heavily relies on the comparative theories of literature to show how it is important to see the issue of trauma in a global and comparative scale and not to stick to the national literary narratives. By doing so, the results of this study show that the two novels rely on the concept of remembering in their traumatic description. However, this act of remembering is heavily different and while the Frankenstein in Baghdad explores the concept of monster to emphasize the act of remembering, Markus Zusak invites his readers to explore the issue of trauma through reading and reviewing books and literature to achieve a mechanism which can alleviate the pains and create symbols to make the trauma understandable more completely and more clearly.

فارسی داستان جنگ عراق به قدری سوزناک است که بسیاری از نویسندگان روی به بررسی آن آورده اند .در این راه، پروپاگاندای غرب که نگاه اروپا محور را در مورد گذار عراق به دموکراسی گسترش می دهد نیز شایان توجه است .این نگاه یکی از دلایل شرایط دهشتناک عراق است .مطالعه پیش رو تلاش دارد تا به بررسی ترومای پس از جنگ در رمان فرانکشاین در بغداد احمد سعداوی و کتاب دزد مارکوس زوسک بپردازد .در این پژوهش نظریات تروما در یک چهارچوب تطبیقی مورد بررسی قرار خواهند گرفت و با به کار برستن آن ها در این رمان ها تفسیر خواهند شد .در این چهارچوب خاصیت اجتماعی تروما مورد بحث و تاکید قار خواهد گرفت .ضمن آنکه تلاش بر این است تا این پژوهش صدای عراقی ها باشد و موقیعت های دردناک و هزینه های انسانی مورد توجه قرار گیرد .علاوه بر این، مسئله مرگ نیز در رمان کتاب دزد ضمن مقایسه آن با فرانکشتاین در بغداد مورد توجه است .نظریات ادبیات تطبیقی در نشان دادن اهمیت نگاه جهانی و تطبیقی به تروما نقش بازی خواهند کرد و لزوم عدم پایبندی به روایت ها ادبیات ملی را یاد آور می شوند .نتایج این پزوهش نشان از وجود مفهوم به خاطر سپاری در توصیف های تروما دارند .با این حال، نحوه به خاطر سپاری دراین رمان با فرانکشتاین در بغداد متفاوت است چرا که این رمان با کاوش در مفهوم هیولا بر به خاطر سپاری تاکید می ورزد .مارکوس زوسک از خوانندگان دعوت میکند تا با خوانش و بررسی تروما از طریق کتاب های و ادبیات به ساز و کاری دست یابند که درد هایشان را تسکین دهد و به فهم کامل تر و واضح تر تروما کمک نماید
