Flipped classrooms alter the traditional way of teaching by changing what students do in school and at home. Possible problems with the traditional classroom are that it is not time effective and very teacher-centered, which in the flipped classroom moves towards being learner-centered, and fostering learner autonomy and collaborative learning. Previous research has shown several solutions to these problems that may occur in the traditional classroom; however, its use in grammar teaching has not been subject to research. Therefore, this present study sets out to investigate the if the use of the flipped classroom methodology influences the teaching of grammar. Adopting convenience sampling technique, there are 55 participants: 27 in the control group receiving non-flipped classroom and another 28 in the experimental group participating in flipped classroom. The research instruments used are pre-test, post-test and motivation questionnaire. To analyze the obtained data, the SPSS version 24 were used. After 8 sessions of instruction, the results from the pre-test and post-test indicate both groups perform grammar academically better yet the experimental group achieve higher scores and were more motivated by the end of the course than their counterparts in the control group. The findings of this study give ESL practitioners a better insight into students preference in learning grammar and ways to create better teaching through blended learning.

آموزش به روش معکوس رویکردی نسبتا جدیدی در دنیاست .در این روش معلم محتوایی که قرار است در یک جلسه به زبان آموزان آموزش دهد را پیش تر در اختیار آنها قرار می دهد .آن ها باید در خانه یا فضایی غیر از کلاس درس، به صورت انفرادی محتوای آموزشی مورد نظر را با دیدن فیلم، فایل متنی، یا صوتی بیاموزند و در کلاس حاضر شوند .این روش همچنین سبب می شود زبان آموزان در یادگیری شان مستقل شوند .این پژوهش به بررسی تاثیر آموزش به روش معکوس بر روی یادگیری گرامر و انگیزه می پردازد 55 .نفر در این پژوهش شرکت کردند که 27 نفر در گروه کنترل و 28 نفر در گروه آزمایش بودند .همچنین در این پژوهش از یک پیش آزمون، یک پس آزمون و یک پرسشنامه انگیزه برای جمع آوری اطلاعات استفاده شد .نتایج به دست آمده نشلن می دهد که زبان آموزانی که در گروه آزمایش بودند و از روش معکوس استفاده شد عملکرد بهتری در مقایسه با زبان آموزان گروه کنترل که از روش سنتی استفاده شد داشتند
