This thesis is based on one of the key ideas of the French psychoanalyst Julia Kristeva named textual practices in three of Vladimir Nabokovs novels namely Invitation to a Beheading, Pnin, and Pale Fire and also in one of the well-known poems of Sylvia Plath which would be Lady Lazarus. This idea contends that we should always keep an eye for the often-unidentified part of language which is characterized as the semiotic part by Kristeva. It comprises the parts of language which are typically overshadowed by the structures of language conveying meanings and notions and usually works by the nature of drive energies and those things which add something surplus to text like music and rhythm. The semiotic part also contains what is known under the name of abjection which goes back to the separation we experienced from our mothers and therefore the lack of it always returns to haunt us in our later ages. So subjects usually hold up a position of reaction towards this sense of lack and loathing coming from abjection which usually restores authors to full authorial power. Thereupon, this study inspects different aspects of this matter and tries to analyze the works mentioned on a structural and thematic basis. The ab-reaction shown puts the subjects in a contradictive position which cannot be accounted for in a usual manner. It is either a complete modification of the world around and its rules, or it puts the subject in a state of destitution. As is discussed in the work at hand, the works discussed tend to go towards both of the outcomes said, though with intricacies that seem perplexing at times and it is for this end that Kristevas ideas could be of the utmost help. فارسی این پایان‌صنامه بر اساس یکی از ایده‌صهای کلیدی روان تحلیل فرانسوی جولیا کریستوا به نام مطالعات متنی بنیان نهاده شده که در سه رمان از ولادیمیر ناباکوف به نام‌صهای دعوت به مراسم گردن‌صزنی، پنین و آتش کم‌صفروغ و همچنین در یکی از شعرهای شناخته‌صشده سیلویا پلاث به نام بانو لازاروس انجام پذیرفته است .این ایده بر این باور است که ما همیشه باید بخشی از توجه خود را معطوف به قسمت اغلب ناشناخته زبان داریم که از آن به عنوان بخش نشانه‌صای زبان توسط کریستوا یاد می‌صشود .این قسمت آن بخش‌صهایی از زبان را تشکیل می‌صدهد که اغلب در سایه قسمت‌صهای معنی‌صدار زبان قرار می‌صگیرند و معمولا بر اساس ماهیت غرایز آدمی و آن چیزهایی کار می‌صکند که مفهومی اضافه به متن می‌صبخشند، مانند موسیقی و ریتم .بخش نشانه‌صای زبان همچنین چیزی به عنوان طردشدگی را دربرمی‌صگیرد که به اولین جدائی اشاره دارد که از مادر خود تجربه کرده و اغلب بعدها جای خالی آن دوباره به سراغ ما خواهد آمد .بنابراین طردشدگان معمولا خصوصیتی واکنشی را در برابر این احساس نقص و تنفر آمده از طردشدگی اتخاذ می‌صکنند که معمولا نویسندگان را به قدرت کامل نویسندگی بازمی‌صگرداند .بنابراین، این مطالعه زوایای مختلف این مسئله را بررسی کرده و سعی می‌صکند که کارهای یادشده را بر اساس روشی ساختاری و موضوع محور مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار دهد .این واکنش اشخاص را در موقعیتی متناقض قرار داده که نمی‌صتوان به گونه ای ساده آن را توضیح داد .این امر اغلب یا به دگرشی اساسی از جهان پیرامون و قوانین آن ختم شده و یا شخص را در موقعیتی ناگوار قرار می‌صدهد .همانطور که در مطالعه پیش رو در مورد آن بحث شده است، کارهای تحلیل شده به سمت هر دو نتیجه ذکرشده پیش می‌صروند، اگرچه جزئیات پیچیده‌صای وجود دارند که گهگاه باعث سردرگمی می‌صشوند و به همین خاطر است که ایده‌صهای کریستوا می‌صتوانند بیشترین کمک را برسانند
