test was used for the analysis of the data, gathered from the learners performance on the pretest and the posttest in each level. The results of the study revealed positive effects for visual input enhancement in elementary and intermediate levels based on within group but not between groups comparisons. The results also revealed positive effects for visual enhancement of vocabulary items for the advanced level based on both the within group and between groups comparisons. It was concluded that although visual input enhancement may have beneficial effects for elementary and intermediate levels, it is much more effective for the advanced EFL learners. This study may provide EFL teachers and syllabus designers with useful guiding principles about visual input enhancement and its effects on vocabulary learning across different proficiency levels-experimental. T-two EFL learners from elementary, intermediate and advanced proficiency levels were selected based on a placement test and were assigned to six groups, two groups at each proficiency level with one being an experimental and the other a control group. After taking the pretest designed for their proficiency level the groups in each level received ten reading texts with some visually enhanced vocabulary items appropriate for that proficiency level. In order to investigate the effect of visual enhancement of forms on learners vocabulary learning in each level, they took the posttest appropriate for their proficiency level based on the enhanced forms in the reading texts designed for their level. Therefore the design of the study was quasi-enhanced reading texts. One hundred and thirty-Teaching formal aspects of a language has been a serious challenge for teachers in foreign language classrooms. This study investigated the effect of focus on form instruction on vocabulary learning through the medium of visually.
