The purpose of this reseach is generation of an eye-safe laser. So at first we investigated region of eye-safe wavelength and manners of generation of this wavelength region and selected optical parametric oscillator (OPO) for generate of this wavelength. An OPO include a pump source, nonlinear crystal with proper cut angle and a resonator cavity. We utilized a Nd:YAG solid state laser as OPO pump source. Thus investigated stability factors of resonator, size and location of beam waists and also obtained beam size up mirrors. Also studeid termal effects in gain medium for flash-lamp pumped and laser-diode pumped. For design of nonlinear crystal we obtained phasematching angles of different signal wavelength and calculated nonlinear coefficients in this angles. Also we introduced rate equations for intracavity optical parametric oscillator (IOPO), then beneficial from solution of these equations for three different IOPO, analyzed them. Finally setuped a flash-lamp pumped EO Q-switched IOPO for cavity air cooling and cavity flow cooling.Then studied characterization of produced signal beam by them
