thesis, first we give an introduction to dynamical systems. Then, the chaoticystems are discussed. Since chaos control and chaos synchronization play a verymportant role in the study of chaotic systems and have great significance in thepplication of chaos, two different chapters allocated for these subjects. Also, ahaotic encryption is described that is based on the chaos synchronization. Atlast, with utilizing an appropriate novel active pinning controls, synchronizationd anti-synchronization of new uncertain fractional-order unified chaotic systems(UFOUCS) is studied
